About the Founders

The journey of Sielo is inspired by the experiences and values of its founders, Melissa and Karen Molina. Growing up in Melbourne with a deep connection to their South American heritage, the sisters discovered a passion for natural beauty and wellness from an early age. Their venture into skincare was driven by personal health challenges and a strong desire to find safer, more effective products for themselves and their families.

    "Since childhood, I have suffered from eczema, trying various remedies to alleviate my skin condition. Medical professionals often deemed my eczema untreatable and prescribed steroid creams as the primary solution. After years of relying on these treatments, I began to notice the detrimental effects of prolonged use and became more aware of their side effects."

    Melissa faced her own challenges. "I have two young daughters, and both of them showed sensitivity to skincare products. This urged me to investigate the toxic chemicals present in children's skincare. I was surprised to see how brands were marketing their products as safe alternatives despite containing harmful substances."

Disheartened by the lack of quality products, Melissa and Karen took matters into their own hands. They immersed themselves in research, testing, and formulating their own remedies. "When we developed our formulations, we distributed samples for people to try. Their genuine love for our creations led them to ask for more," says Melissa. The enthusiastic response from their community inspired the sisters to launch Sielo, transforming their personal mission into a thriving business.

"We take pride in knowing we exclusively use naturally derived, high-quality ingredients, free from harmful chemicals. We set out to create products where every ingredient has a purpose," the founders conclude. Through Sielo, Melissa and Karen aspire to inspire others to embrace natural beauty and make informed choices about their skincare and haircare routines.
